Welcome to the GT Fabrication Bunbury Rally Sprint 2024!
We are excited to have you join us for this thrilling motorsport event. Here is everything you need to know to make the most of your experience.
Getting There:
- Show N Shine Location: Blair Street Car Park
- Rallysprint Location: Halifax Light Industrial Area, McCombe Road, Davenport
- Parking: Safely on the side of the road near the spectator points, don’t park on South West Highway
- Ticketing: Admission is free for all spectators.
Spectator Areas:
- There will be designated spectator zones along the course.
- Please see the Spectator Guide maps; They are available from the Rally Van on McCombe Rd, opposite Gibbons Rd
- Follow the directions of event staff; and
- Respect all safety barriers.
Food and Beverages: A variety of food stalls will be available on-site, offering a range of refreshments.
Viewing Tips:
- Safety First: Always follow the instructions of event marshals. Stay behind safety barriers and never cross the track during the event..
- Bring Sun Protection: The event will be held outdoors. Be sure to bring hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
- Comfortable Footwear: Wear comfortable shoes as you may be walking on uneven terrain.
- Cameras and Binoculars: Capture the action and get a closer look with binoculars.
- Family-Friendly Zone: The whole event is a designated family-friendly zone.
- Accessibility: The event site is wheelchair accessible, with designated viewing areas for those with mobility challenges.
- Pets: For the safety and comfort of your pets and all attendees, we kindly ask that you leave your pets at home.
- Emergency Information: In case of an emergency, please notify the nearest event staff member or make your way to the designated first aid station.

- Please respect your local community and dispose of your rubbish in designated bins.
- Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited.

Information for Residents
This is a prestigious motorsport event featuring fully prepared rally vehicles racing on closed public roads in the Halifax Light Industrial Area. It show cases skilful driving through the many turns on the stages.
On Saturday we the scrutiny of the cars at the South West Regional TAFE where many of the students get to check the cars and help the scrutineers. It gives them a good insight into the difference of a street car and a rally car.
Then from 5.30pm, the cars are on display next to the Blair Street car park, on the Pat Usher foreshore. This is a great opportunity to get up close to the cars and maybe get to speak to the drivers about their pride and joy.
Sunday is all about the competition. McCombe Road becomes the Service Park or in racing called the Pits. The competitors will race the clock at 20-second intervals, we split them into two groups, Odds & Evens, just so we don’t have all the faster cars in one group. The groups run from fastest to slowest. In the morning they will run in a Clockwise Direction, and in the afternoon, the run Anti-Clockwise.
Road closures will occur for approximately four hours on the day of competition. All road closures will be communicated well in advance. Notification signs will be erected on the roads and a Residents Letter will be distributed three to four weeks before the event. You can also refer to our official website for detailed schedules relating to each event.
To ensure the safety of both participants and the public, specific roads will be temporarily closed during the event to facilitate competitive racing conditions.
During the specified times, access to certain roads will be restricted. We recommend planning alternative routes or adjusting travel schedules to accommodate these closures. If you have set times you need to leave or return your premises, please let Tarmac Events WA know in advance by email or phone call.
No. Emergency services will have designated access routes and will not be impeded by the road closures. Safety is our top priority. In an emergency, we have medical teams on the stage that we will send to residents to assist until public emergency teams arrive, call 0419 045 042 or 0488 679 287.
