Perth’s premier tarmac rally returns to its popular four-day format with a new naming rights sponsor, now known as Lance East Exotics Tarmac West, held from 12 to 15 September.

Lance East Exotics’ sponsorship of the Tarmac Events WA and Tarmac West is a testament to their dedication to the motorsport community.

“We are proud to support the remarkable skill and passion of the drivers at the Tarmac West Rally,” said Lance East Exotics Managing Director Alfa Aminudin.

“These individuals push their limits to achieve greatness, providing a thrilling spectacle for all motorsport enthusiasts.”

Lance East Exotics is a luxury car dealership specialising in an exclusive range of supercars that are more than mere modes of transportation; they are expressions of personality and sophistication. It’s where luxury meets velocity, from the aspirational Ferrari to the sophistication of an Aston Martin, Lance East Exotics handpicks every vehicle to ensure it meets its unparalleled quality and performance standards.

After a change of format for the past two years, and with sanctioning from AASA, Tarmac Events WA Pty Ltd is delighted to recommence longer competitive stages, in particular those around Toodyay and Chittering on the rally’s third day, the marathon day.

Starting from the heart of Perth’s CBD, Day 1 begins with a Ceremonial Start in Forrest Place. Competitors then race the clock at Whiteman Park before the fast twilight stages around the closed streets of Ellenbrook, expected to draw thousands of spectators.

Day 2 of competition takes place in the Perth Hills with morning stages in Parkerville and Kalamunda, before Kalamunda’s Haynes Street transforms into a service park for a one-hour service and lunch stop. The afternoon stages include the famous Kalamunda Zig Zag, and the day ends with a Show and Shine in Forrest Place in Perth’s CBD on late-night-shopping night, Friday night.

It gets serious on Saturday, Day 3, when drivers, co-drivers and crew endure the biggest day of racing featuring long flowy stages and technical sections, with the aim to finish faster than the rest to go into the final day ahead of the pack.

The fourth and final day, Sunday 15 September, starts with fast morning stages around Malaga before the Lance East Exotics Tarmac West competitors move to the City of Perth for finale around Langley Park along Riverside Drive and the Terrace Road Car Park.

The street action in the city starts early morning with a stand-alone Sprint competition from 9.30am.

Langley Park will host the most impressive motoring and motorsport display at the Celebration of Motorsport, and the Celebration of Hot Rods and Street Machines, while the Shannons Classic on the Swan will be displayed across the road, along the banks of the river. Expect over 400 stunning cars from yesteryear along with modern marvels, monster bus rides, helicopter rides, remote control cars entertainment, car clubs stalls, food trucks and more.

It’s one thing to appreciate the beautiful vehicles on display, it’s another to see and hear them roar to life.

The new Sunday Perth City Cruise is a motorcade featuring hot rods, street machines and exotic supercars on everyone’s wish lists. From 12pm, spectators can watch the cars cruise along Barrack Street, Wellington Street, William Street, St Georges Terrace, Adelaide Terrace and Bennet Street.

Event Director Ross Tapper expressed delight in returning to Tarmac West’s original format.

“While we love the short and fast-paced rallysprint format, the endurance required in our four-day long-form rally is different, and it plays to the strengths of some competitors and not to others. We are thrilled to be back doing what we love,” Mr Tapper said.

“The Rallysprint format will be running alongside Tarmac West at Ellenbrook, Malaga and the City.

“The event program is every car-lover’s dream and there is so much happening in and around the competition.

“From high-horsepower rally action, sideways slides around corners to historic cars on display and a new Sunday Cruise, Tarmac West is geared-up fun for the whole family.”

About 50 competitors are expected to be flagged off at the Ceremonial Start and will tackle almost 240 competitive kilometres on timed stages and drive a total of 908.5 kilometres over four days.

Spectating is free at Lance East Exotics Tarmac West.
